1st Semester Graphic Design Final Exam

Graphic design this semester seemed pretty fun. I think there were a bit too many projects going on at once, but it was still fun. We did a lot of different projects and they all weren't that hard. This final blogger of the semester will talk about this semester and show some of my projects.
The one on the left are these fall icons that we made in Adobe Illustrator. They were probably the easiest and the quickest out of all our projects. It was very simple just needing to use the shape tool and copying things and putting them in different positions. I didn't really face any challenges except time. I had to stay after school to completely finish it. It wasn't my favorite, but I would probably do it again if I had to.
The one on the right was called the "Nature Man". You didn't have to actually put nature things on him, that's just what the picture was called. I decided to do a space theme. This was one of the easier and less time-consuming ones. All you had to do was get an image and put a layer mask over it. Then you could mess with the hue and saturation as well as feathering it. It was one of my favorite ones to do. I would definitely do it again if I had the chance.
Using my time in class I think I didn't use it as much as I should have. I tend to get distracted a lot especially when our class is pretty extroverted. I did take some chances at staying after school to finish some projects. But I think I could have used my time much better than I have in the past. Some areas of improvement I need are communication skills and time management. My parents tell me that I don't communicate very well or often so I do need to work on that. My time management is horrible, to be honest. I also tend to slack off a bit and not do my work, which I am going to try to fix next semester.
To summarize all of this, it was fun. Like I said before, I think there wasn't enough time in class-even on block days-to try to squeeze whatever project we had due and then move on to something else right away. It put a little bit of strain on me, but I managed. Other than that, the projects were fun and just enough of a challenge to not be impossible. I can't wait to see what we will do next semester.
